Brazilian & Hollywood Waxing Females only
What To Expect at Your First Appointment
Your first visit will take slightly longer whilst you complete a Consultation Form and discuss the Brazilian & Hollywood service.
You will be left in the room to get ready in private, to remove your lower clothing and position yourself on the treatment couch with a modesty towel over your lap.
An intimate wipe will be provided to freshen and prepare the skin for waxing. The bed will be warmed with an electric blanket during colder months.
A paper G-String can be provided if preferred but will need to be moved to one side in order to do a thorough wax and often ends up getting torn. Whilst it is easier for me to wax without it, I am happy to provide one if your prefer.
Don’t worry - you won’t be on all fours, and I’m very aware that many people feel a little awkward initially.
As a lady of a certain age, you have no need to feel awkward, intimidated, or embarrassed in front of me — I do this all day long on all age groups!
Hygiene & Safety Practices
All treatments are carried out following strict professional cleanliness standards to ensure your safety and comfort.
This includes the use of hospital-grade sterilising fluid (Barbicide) for tweezers and small tools, single-use wooden spatulas, and a strict no double-dipping policy for wax pots. Anti-Bac Gel is also provided.
Fresh disposable couch coverings are used for every client. The skin is cleansed and prepped prior to waxing, and post-wax products are applied using hygienic, single-use methods.
Specialist Hot Wax
Specialist hot wax, also known as hard wax, is used for Brazilian and Hollywood waxing as it is particularly gentle on the skin and ideal for sensitive, intimate areas.
Unlike strip wax, hot wax does not glue to the skin. It simply ‘grabs’ the hair and does not require fabric strips to remove. Instead, the wax is applied warm, allowed to set while remaining flexible on the skin, and is then removed by hand.
This type of wax is known for being less uncomfortable and can be especially beneficial for those who are new to intimate waxing or have sensitive or loose skin.
Specialist hot wax requires specific training and experience, and not all waxers are qualified to use it.
Wax Regularly
It’s ideal to keep your first three waxing appointments closer together, usually every 3–4 weeks. This helps the hair growth cycle become more consistent and makes future waxing more comfortable and effective.
After this initial period, most clients move to appointments every 4–6 weeks, with the average being around 4–5 weeks, depending on individual hair growth.
Staying consistent will give you smoother results for longer and helps keep regrowth softer and finer over time.
After Care Advice
For your first visit, please allow 2–3 weeks of hair growth after shaving or using depilatory creams. This ensures the hair is long enough for the wax to grip properly, but not so long that it breaks. If your hair is slightly too long, I will trim it for you.
Regular exfoliation is important to help remove dry, dead skin that can block hairs from growing through and lead to ingrown hairs. You can exfoliate using a body scrub, body brush, exfoliating mitt, or loofah. Keep the skin moisturised between appointments to prevent hair from becoming dry and brittle — however, please avoid moisturising on the day of your wax.
On the day of your treatment, avoid sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms, heavy workouts, or sunbathing and for at least 24–48 hours after waxing. Hot, clammy skin can lift during waxing, which may expose sensitive skin underneath, cause discomfort, and increase the risk of pigmentation if exposed to UV light.
